HOODLUM / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

KNOW THE BAG.
KNOW THE SETUP.

Shape is one part of the choice. Intended use, installation and the complete listing matter just as much.

01 / HANGING BAGS

CHECK THE SUPPORT.

Read the bag’s intended use and installation instructions, then confirm the required mount and supporting structure with a qualified installer. Check whether straps, chains, brackets and filling are included. An attractive photograph does not tell you what the package contains.

02 / FREESTANDING

PLAN THE FOOTPRINT.

Compare the dimensions of the entire assembled unit, including the base. Review the approved filling, floor conditions and clearance requirements. Consider where it will be used and stored; do not assume that every freestanding design is easy to move when filled.

MATCH THE PURPOSE.

A teardrop, uppercut, speed or double-end bag may support a different kind of drill. Read the manufacturer’s description and discuss the choice with your coach. These are equipment categories, not a promise that any one shape is right for every session.

04 / THE PURCHASE

LOOK BEYOND THE BAG.

Confirm the contents, dimensions, weight, setup parts and care guidance before ordering. For large equipment, check the final shipping information and the route into your training space. Keep the product instructions with your other equipment records.

MAKE THE DETAILS COUNT

COMPARE WITH
CONFIDENCE.

Begin with the training you already do or plan to learn with a coach. A bag should fit that purpose rather than determine it by appearance alone. Note the drills, available space and type of installation your situation allows. This gives you a practical comparison list before you start choosing colors or matching other equipment.

Look at each product as a complete setup. The bag itself, its filling, a stand or mount, attachments and any required installation are separate questions until the listing confirms otherwise. Compare like for like: two similar-looking bags may have different contents or requirements. Keep a note of the questions that remain unanswered before you make a live purchase.

Photographs help you understand shape, seams and visible attachments, but they cannot establish how an unseen wall or ceiling should be used. Follow the instructions supplied with the final item and have the supporting structure assessed where required. Do not improvise a mount because it resembles an editorial image.

Check the equipment before each session according to its instructions, including the parts that support or secure it. Follow the stated cleaning and storage guidance, and keep the area around the setup clear. If a component needs attention, address it before returning the equipment to use.

The HOODLUM preview includes hanging, specialty and freestanding bag concepts with sample USD prices. Those demo listings let you test the browsing and image gallery experience. Final measurements, materials, included hardware, availability and shipping terms will be set in the live product catalog.
